Our house is 5 years old, located in the suburbs, in a track of cookie cutter homes. It's a "starter home" and so, there are little frills, just the basics. We moved here 7 months ago and though we've done a great deal of work in the living areas and kitchen, nothing has been done in the bedrooms.
We're going to change that. And we're starting with:
Yes, Lucy's room is boring.
That's all there is to it. It's actually the best bedroom in the house as far as lighting, space, potential. But with the plain walls, lack of color and design, it's just......blah.
Here's how it looks right now:and here's why it's boring:
Ready to help me change all that?? Then let's paint Lucy's room!
For this project I'll be using a paint brand that I've fallen in love with: Valspar paints. Available at all Lowe's Hardware stores, I'm impressed with it's results. The paint is quality, goes on well, smells normal (I've used other brands that have a funky scent), very reasonable prices, and there's a wonderful spectrum of colors to choose from.
Here's where you come in.
Help me choose a paint color......and you just might win a $100 gift card to Lowe's!
If you're like me, looking at paint colors just gets my wheels a spinning ("Think of all the cool projects to be done!") But there are so many colors to choose from that it can feel overwhelming.
Valspar paints has made it easy. With all sorts of online tools, you can easily look at colors, find color trends, paint online, browse the design gallery. You don't even have to leave the house to get your project started! Then, when you go to the store (with two kids in tow) you can easily walk up to the paint counter, tell them what you want and you'll be out of there in no time (unless you're also like me and think it's fun to browse the hardware store.)
So....Help me choose the perfect color for Lucy's room!

* Leave a comment and let me know!
The winner will get a $100 Gift Card to Lowe's home improvement store.
(winner will be chosen at random.)
Okay, off to get the room prepped. Good bye white walls! Hello, (fill in the blank)......
